Carmelo Esposito

Nestled in the breathtaking landscapes of Grande Prairie, Alberta, I’ve dedicated my life to advocating for environmental stewardship, food integrity, and the preservation of biodiversity. My journey has taken me from working in the food distribution industry—where I witnessed firsthand the troubling shift toward profit-driven, lower-quality foods—to becoming a passionate steward of nature on my 220-acre ecological haven, Kleskun Springs.

At Kleskun Springs, I have worked tirelessly to protect the land’s biodiversity and safeguard its pristine water sources, creating a sanctuary that even the majestic Sandhill Cranes call home. Each autumn, they gather in a breathtaking farewell ritual before migrating south—a powerful reminder of nature’s resilience and the delicate balance we must protect.

This deep connection to the natural world is a driving force behind my writing. In Battle of the Sevens and Battle of the Sevens: A Child’s Tale, I explore the urgent crossroads humanity faces—where cooperation and sustainability battle against exploitation and greed. Through the lens of the Seven Bees, guardians of life, and their struggle against the Seven Dons, embodiments of industrial excess, these stories inspire readers to consider the impact of their choices on the planet’s future.

On a different note, Temptation’s Desire takes a more intimate approach, delving into the raw tension between passion, restraint, and the magnetic pull of the forbidden. My fascination with human connection—whether through our relationship with nature or with each other—guides my storytelling, blending emotion, desire, and the consequences of temptation into narratives that linger long after the final page.

Beyond writing, I’ve dedicated years to shaping young minds as a children’s soccer coach and playground supervisor, instilling values of teamwork, resilience, and movement. Whether I’m hiking through the trails of Kleskun Springs with my dog or tending to its abundant plant life—many of which hold natural medicinal properties—I’m constantly reminded that balance, renewal, and harmony are at the heart of both nature and storytelling.

Join me on this journey—whether through the hum of bees fighting for the planet or the pulse of desire tempting the heart.
